An introduction to clown art and physical play
The ability and readiness to play transform painful areas into metaphysical possibilities. Clowning has the power to soothe the tensions of our lives, often too material and too rational, sometimes downright austere.
Welcome to everyone aged 20 to 99 years old, regardless of your stage experience.

Learning Objectives: The educational objectives are essentially the same as those presented below for weekly workshops.
Weekly act creation workshops

Ceci est un atelier de création de numéro qui s'adresse aux personnes qui ont déjà une expérience en clown.
This workshop session is intended for individuals who already have experience in clown art. It is aimed at supporting the creation of a clown act.
Participants will learn how to give and receive constructive feedback and will work on developing a clown act based on an idea of their choice.

Weekly evening workshops
Location provided at registration - Montreal
220$ for 6 workshops (17 hours)
Learning objectives: making choices, streamlining a game sequence, repeating a sequence without losing the spontaneity of the game, integrating audience reactions into the act, maintaining the main theme while allowing for the unexpected...
All levels - this course is perfect for beginners or for those with less than 2 years of experience in clowning

Weekly workshops on clown play
The price varies depending on the number of workshops in the current session.
Methodology: The explorations and improvisations (in groups, in pairs, and solo) that I suggest are inspired by and derived from physical theatre and dance-theatre, to enter the clown universe through the body, without overthinking.
Educational Objectives (level 1):
Being fully present in the game (presence)
Getting comfortable with vulnerability in the game
Listening to one's own emotions and reactions, one's game partners, the audience
Executing effective stage entrances and exits
Expressing and embodying emotions through the body
Maintaining eye contact with the audience
Drawing energy from the audience's reactions, interacting with them
Receiving feedback from the instructor during the game
Exploring the dynamics of clown solo and duo performances
Improvising based on a given situation, a constraint, an object, music...

Public class
When possible and if students wish, a public class is held at the end of the session for clowns to explore their relationship with the audience.
